The following meetings have been scheduled for field crop producers in our area. Pesticide credits will be offered at every meeting. Listings will be updated with pesticide credit categories offered as they are approved by NCDA&CS.

Private Pesticide Safety (V) Training

February 1, 2023 from 9:00 a.m.  – 11:00 a.m.

Topics in this training involve herbicide resistance management, making the right PPE choices in different situations, and also a general information session from a North Carolina Department of Agriculture Pesticide Inspector.
2 hours of V credits are available.

Northern Piedmont Tobacco / GAP Meeting

February 9, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 Noon

N.C. Cooperative Extension, Yadkin County Center
2051 Agricultural Way, Yadkinville, NC  27055

Topics in this meeting include the annual good agricultural practices training, an information session from the United States Department of Labor regarding H-2A worker requirement laws, and also presentations from North Carolina State University Specialists Dr. Matthew Vann, and Dr. Grant Ellington. This training will provide 2 Hours Pesticide credit in N, O, D, and X categories.

This training will provide 2 Hours Pesticide credit in N, O, D, and X categories.
